Recently, I have become completely smitten with matte liquid lipsticks. I have tried dozens of different brands, formulas, and colors, and have finally found a brand that works for me. My current must have liquid lipsticks are from Too Faced Cosmetics. I love these lipsticks for a number of reasons. The color payoff is incredible (a little goes a long way), and once it dries you are left with an opaque color that lasts for hours. As you can see in the color swatch photo, the formula goes on liquid, then turns matte as it dries. The only time I experience any dryness or flaking is when I overdo it and apply one too many coats of color. Less is definitely more with this formula.
I have a hard time finding colors that I feel comfortable wearing during the day, but I think all three of these colors look beautiful. From left to right in the swatch photo, the colors are: Queen B, Sell Out, and Lady Balls. My absolute favorite of the three is Sell Out (the middle color). Every time I wear it I get asked what color and brand it is. The soft pinky-brown color is particularly flattering against my skin tone (I wear it year round). Queen B looks best on me when I have a little less of a tan, and Lady Balls is my go to holiday color! It is literally the perfect shade of red, not too orange and not too pinky. I love pairing it with other red accessories, especially my military red Hunter boots!
