Kate Somerville Product Review

March 16, 2017 Victoria Zapata

Cleanser: Kate Somerville I Exfoliator: Kate Sommerville I Moisturizer: Kate Somerville

Hello Lovely!

I just wanted to share a quick update on the newest additions to my skin care regimen. A few weeks ago I ran out of cleanser and moisturizer, so I stopped by my local Nordstrom store to purchase some more. While I was there, I started chatting with one of the ladies in the cosmetics department and was asking her if she knew of a good foaming cleanser. I normally use the Clinique cleanser, but recently I have been experiencing more breakouts than usual and thought now would be a good time to try something new. She recommended the Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate kit. I had heard great things about Kate Somerville products but had never tried them for myself. I decided to purchase the set, which includes both the ExfoliKate Cleanser and the Intensive Exfoliating Treatment. I also decided to take home a jar of the Oil Free Moisturizer.

I am so happy she recommended this line! I started seeing noticeable results within about a week. Not only have my acne scars begun to fade, I am also experiencing fewer breakouts than ever before. After three weeks of using it, I have almost no new breakouts, and only a few of my most recently formed scars are still visible without makeup. I use the cleanser twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I splash a bit of water onto my face and gently massage it into my skin for 30 seconds. I like to use it with my Vanity Planet cleansing brush when I have heavier makeup on to make sure it all comes off.

Once I am done cleansing my skin, I use the Intensive Exfoliating Treatment. It says to use the exfoliator once or twice a week, depending on your skin type, but I use it once every three days. I also prefer to use it at night, but it can be used during the day. It is totally up to you! I massage a small amount of the product all over my face for 30 seconds and leave it on for another 2 minutes. I only use the Oil Free Moisturizer during the daytime, after my skin has been cleansed. What I love about this moisturizer is that it contains oil absorbing spheres that actually helps to keeps my T-Zone significantly less shiny throughout the day! I also love that the moisturizer is stored in airless packaging, which protects against air, light, bacteria, and other sources of contamination, ultimately preserving the integrity of the ingredients. I wish every skincare company would use airless packaging for their moisturizers and serums. It just makes sense!

Overall, I am incredibly pleased with the results. If you are struggling with adult acne, or if you are just looking to try a new product line, I would highly recommend Kate Somerville's line of products!

As always, thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

Yours Truly, Victoria
