Hello Lovely!
A few weeks ago, Omar and I decided to take a road trip to California. It might sound crazy, but it's something we have always wanted to do. Also, we were both able to get some time off from work and school in February, making it the perfect time to go for it!
On our way to California, we made two major stops, one in Omaha and the other in Salt Lake City. When we finally arrived in California, our first stop was Napa Valley! Since we arrived a day ahead of schedule, we stayed for one night at the Napa River Inn. For our second night, we stayed at the beautiful Bardessono Hotel located in the heart of Yountville. This was our first time staying at the Bardessono, and even though it was raining when we arrived, we immediately knew there was something special about this hotel. When we pulled up to the carport, we were greeted by two of the most friendly porters we have ever met! The hotel had also prepared a welcome sign for our sweet little dog Mochi, which we thought was incredibly thoughtful.
By the time we walked over to the check-in desk, our bags had already been loaded up for us and we were offered complementary glasses of wine. The check-in process was very easy and the young man helping us, who I believe was named Jose, was checking to see if we needed assistance with any dining recommendations or reservations. He also informed us that as overnight guests, we were welcome to take any of their Lexus vehicles for a 2-4 hour test drive. We also had the option to select a vehicle for complementary transport around the town by one of their drivers. As if that weren't enough, he personally walked us to our rooms, shielding us from the rain with his umbrellas, and showed us all of the features and amenities the hotel has to offer. Not only is this hotel beautiful from a aesthetic standpoint, it is also one of the only LEED Platinum Certified hotels in the world, which is the highest standard for environmental design.
At this point, Omar and I were completely blown away. The inside of our room was just as beautiful as the grounds outside. We stayed in one of their King Spa Suites, which included a large living space, fireplace, private courtyard, and fully equipped 200 sq. ft. spa bathroom. As if that weren't enough, they also had a bottle of wine waiting for us, and a plate full of treats for Mochi when we walked into the room. We have been fortunate enough to stay at a number of luxury hotels and resorts, but none of them have been quite like this one. I must admit, the Bardessono has officially climbed to the top of our list of the best places to stay in the U.S.
I honestly cannot say enough about our experience at the Bardessono. If I could rate this hotel a six out of five stars, I would! Their commitment to excellence is evident in everything that they do. Omar and I did not want to leave and we are already planning to take another trip back before the end of the year!
As always, thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you are ever in the Napa Valley area, be sure to stop by the Bardessono Hotel!
Yours Truly, Victoria
