Hello Lovely!
Last week, we celebrated Arya & Ayla’s second birthday! Although we decided not to have a formal birthday party this year, I still wanted to make the day special for them. Since it was quite cold outside & ended up raining most of the day, I decided to turn our family room into a magical fairy garden for them. **Disclaimer, this is a very long post! Since we were not able to host a birthday party this year, I decided to upload all of the photos from the day for our friends & family to see.
They both love butterflies & flowers at the moment! Their eyes lit up the moment they stepped into the room, which made all of the hours spent setting everything up worth it!
I decorated their cakes using some of the beautiful roses I had left over from the bouquets.
What a happy little fairy!
I added glitter to these butterflies, attached them to clear fishing line, & hung them from the chandelier!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen the photos I shared of the sweet little fairy wings I created for Arya & Ayla. They were perfectly sized for their frames & must have been quite comfortable, because they wore them the entire day!
After the girls were done exploring, we read a few fairy themed pop-up books.
Then, we sang happy birthday!
They tried their hardest to blow out their birthday candles! They were so dainty about it!
I think they enjoyed their slices of cake!
Eating cake can be messy business! So, once they finished eating, we changed them into clean dresses & brought the unicorn rocker down from their room.
I wish I had zoomed out more on these photos, but I am so glad I was able to capture a bit of the joy!
They spent the rest of the afternoon running around, exploring, & playing with the balloons!
I have never seen anyone get so excited about balloons! I absolutely treasure these sweet, simple moments!
They have such a beautiful bond & I managed to capture a few tender moments.
Back to exploring! They were watching the birds flying by.
I just love the way they look in these dresses! The stitching has a bit of shimmer in it, which is so lovely in person!
Arya was trying her best to cast spells with her magical fairy wand!
Even daddy joined in on the fairy theme & wore a set of wings to match the girls! They were thrilled!
